About Freya

Freya Sherwood is a versatile Defender/Midfielder available for Fall 2026.

She currently plays for Bristol City Women U21’s in the PGA League, which is the highest league in the country for her age group- along with the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Brighton.

In the 24/25 season she was part of the Bristol City squad that won the Women’s County Cup (up to tier 3), as well as being finalists in the PGA (Professional Game Academies) Plate Final.

This season Freya is playing in a 4-3-3 set up, mostly in the Full back role. She has experience as aWingback or Winger too, on either the right or left side.

Freya is part of the current Ireland U17’s training squad. She has also represented her county, Surrey, and been awarded many individual accolades at clubs over previous seasons.

Academically, Freya is a great student and currently has a GPA of 3.9 and she scored 1100 on the SAT. She would like to study Sports Science.
