About Liam

Liam McCay is a highly promising long-distance/XC runner from Liverpool, England. He is a Fall 2024 recruit looking to compete at the highest level possible within the US collegiate system.

Liam trains with Liverpool Harriers Athletics Club. He is a strong Cross-Country runner and finished 5th at the National Cross Country Championships in Feb, 2023. The previous month, Liam won the Northern Counties XC Championships.

On the track, his strongest race is the 3,000m and his PB time is 8:33.18 – which he recorded in July 2022 while finishing 2nd in the English Schools National Championships. Liam followed this up the next year with a 3rd place finish at English schools in a tactical race and a year young in the age group.

Academically, Liam is doing well and is working with a current GPA of approx. 3.2 (this will soon be updated more accurately as we receive more grades). He is keen on majoring in Exercise Science or a Business-related subject area.
