About Kata

Kata is 18 years old, born on June 19 2007, and is a Fall 2026 recruit from Iceland.

She is 5’10” and plays in the centre of midfield, predominantly as a ‘6‘ but also as an ‘8‘, and is naturally right-footed.

Kata moved to Fram Soccer Club in the autumn of 2024, playing in the top women’s league in Iceland. She has been a regular in the team since the beginning of the season (14/14 games played) and has put in excellent performances in midfield.

Kata is a dynamic and strong midfielder who reads the game brilliantly. Confident and composed on the ball. Excellent at passing and building up play. She is very hardworking and is known for her leadership skills on and off the field. Kata is a solid teammate and always positive and driven to succeed.

Her original club was Stjarnan Soccer Club where she played from 2014 to 2024. In 2023 Kata was captain of Stjarnan’s U-20 team. During the 2024 season she broke into the first team of Stjarnan and was involved in 7/21 matches in The Premier League. Kata moved to Fram Soccer Club in October 2024 when the club was promoted to the Icelandic Women’s Premier League.
