About Jack

Jack Hughes is a well-rounded and versatile Central Defender who can also play as a Defensive Central Midfielder.

He is in his first year at Concord University (West Virginia) and is looking to transfer for his Sophomore season (Fall 2023). Jack played in 15 games for Concord in the Fall 2022 season, starting 11 of those matches.

Jack’s height (6ft 2″) enable him to pose a physical threat from set pieces and direct play from the opposition. But he can also play with the ball at his feet and is very comfortable in possession, either carrying the ball forward or passing through zones into feet.

Prior to arriving at Concord in 2022, Jack was playing for Airbus UK Broughton Reserves, who compete in the Cymru North League. This is the second highest league in Wales behind the Welsh Premier League, which Airbus’ 1st Team form part of. Jack has also been selected to represent Cheshire County FA U’18’s for the 2021-22 season.

Academically, he is doing well and currently has a core GPA of 3.4
