Charlie is a distance athlete from Lewes athletics club in the South of England
Charlie has PBs of 4:03 in the 1500m and 6:12 in the 2k steeplechase which qualifies him for this year’s English Schools Championships where he finished 6th in the final. Steeple is arguably his strongest event as he was ranked in the top 10 nationally last year.
He was selected for the England Athletics Youth Talent Programme in 2022 – a two year programme for athletes with international potential, giving him extra training and mentoring by national coaches.
Alongside the impressive track PB’s above, Charlie is a very handy cross country runner, he proved this by finishing 16th in the South of England Championships earlier this year. He made rapid progress in a short timeframe in cross country and had strong results in all four of the national championships he qualified for.
