Beth Thomas is an accomplished Central Defender who plays for Liverpool FC U21’s in the WSL U21 Academy Development League (highest youth level in England). She has also represented Wales U17 and U19 at youth international level.
Beth is a Fall 2024 recruit.
At 5’10” Beth’s height is a key advantage for her and enables her to win aerial battles and defend well in set-piece situations.
Beth reads the game very well and steps in to make well-timed tackles and interceptions. She has played against numerous youth national teams while on international duty with Wales (Italy, England, Sweden, etc) and plays against strong opposition every week for Liverpool, versus the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd & Aston Villa in the WSL U21 league.
On the ball, Beth is composed and looks to play forward. She is excellent and finding passes into feet and comfortable playing through zones to move her team up the pitch.
She covers ground well and has decent pace in order to deal with quicker opponents.
Academically, Beth has a current GPA of 2.8 (approx). This is likely to improve in the coming months with stronger predicted grades.
