About Alex

Alex Simpson is a Central Defensive Midfielder, available for Fall 2024. 

Alex is part of The Foundation Of Light, part of Sunderland AFC. He is a calm and collected Central Midfielder, who possesses strength in defence and attack. With the ball, he is direct and often plays clinical passes through for attackers to run on to. He is capable of driving forward and making space to ignite an attack too. Alex isn’t afraid to shoot if the opportunity is right.

Defensively Alex is strong in winning the ball back. He has good awareness of where to go, or play the ball to, when he wins the ball back from attackers.

Alex has an approx. GPA of 2.88 and he will graduate high school in 2024.
