Alex Laing is committed to Rogers State University for Fall 2022.
He played for Tottenham Hotspur’s Academy from the ages of 8 to 16 years old. Following his time at Spurs, he then played for Southend United’s Academy for a brief spell, before joining Billericay Town FC in the sixth tier of English football.
As a player, Alex could be described as a super-athletic, attacking Right Fullback or Wing-Back.
He is very hard to beat 1v1, in addition to possessing good physical strength and competitiveness. He likes to get forward wherever possible and overlap to get into the attacking third and deliver crosses.
Alex is comfortable dribbling with the ball and driving forwards, but can also play very simple and maintain possession. He recovers exceptionally well and reads play to cut out dangerous opposition passes.
Academically, Alex scored 1060 total on his SAT and has a GPA of approx. 3.0.
